Braemar is situated 60 miles west of Aberdeen and 50 miles north of Perth on the A93.

Approaching Braemar from Perth, turn left, or from Ballater, turn right, towards the "Linn Of Dee", onto the main street in Braemar. Follow this street round a right hand bend, over the bridge and continue past the Fife Arms Hotel, several shops, the police station and Braemar Gallery on the right hand side, then Auchendryne Square on the left. Keeping to the main street, Auchendryne then faces you around the next left hand bend.
The property is recognisable by the large green painted garage door at the bottom of the triangular garden which is home to two apple trees, a wild cherry tree and is surrounded by a dry stone wall. The main access to the garden is up the lane to the left of the garden, through a wooden gate on your right. Access can also be gained through the garage and by way of a gate at the other side of the garden, leading to the Linn O' Dee Road.
